Melia

Welcome to Melia

1218 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96814

Melia is a proposed front-row luxury development in Ward Village, set to rise on the southern shore of O‘ahu, where the current Ward Centre is located. The address is 1218 Ala Moana Blvd. Positioned alongside its sister tower Ilima, Melia will offer 221exclusive residences across 35 stories, with thoughtfully designed 1-Bed to 4-Bed floor plans.

Named after the plumeria flower—prized in Hawaiian culture for its beauty and use in leis—Melia embodies a deep tradition of warmth and hospitality. Its architectural design draws inspiration from renowned local architects like Bertram Goodhue and Julia Morgan, showcasing articulated facades, stepped massing, and elegantly screened podium levels.

Designed for ultra-luxury living, Melia will feature an L-shaped layout to maximize breathtaking ocean and Diamond Head views. Select residences on the Diamond Head side will boast Juliet Balcony-Style Lanais, further enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Expected to be completed alongside Ilima, Melia will serve as the 13th and 14th towers in Ward Village, harmonizing through similar design elements and characteristics. Together, they will form an iconic presence along Ala Moana Boulevard.

Beyond Melia and Ilima, Mahana Ward Village remains the only other project in the community yet to launch sales.

Widely anticipated to be the second most luxury tower in Ward Village—only surpassed by its neighbor, Ilima—Melia is set to redefine luxury living in Honolulu’s most coveted master-planned community.

Residences & Tower Design

Melia will feature 58 one-bedroom, 104 two-bedroom, 52 three-bedroom, and 7 four-bedroom residences, located between the 7th and 35th floors of the 400-foot-tall tower. Like all other condos in Ward Village, Melia will be set 75 feet back from Ala Moana Boulevard.

  • The typical floor will likely consist of nine residences per floor.
  • Built-out ceiling heights are expected to be around 9' 6" for most floors.
  • The 32nd and 35th floors appear to have an additional 2' 8" of ceiling height, while the 33rd and 34th floors may have approximately 6" more ceiling height.

Designed in an L-shape, the tower will be strategically positioned to optimize ocean and Diamond Head views for as many residences as possible. It will be serviced by three residential elevators and one service elevator for convenience and efficiency.
