ʻIlima is the proposed Block E development in Ward Village, the master-planned community by The Howard Hughes Corporation. In collaboration with Discovery Land Company and Robert A.M. Stern Architects, with Champalimaud Design curating the interiors, ʻIlima is set to become a benchmark of luxury and community-centric living.
Inspired by local architectural traditions, ʻIlima’s façade and structural design aim to create a seamless connection between Ward Village’s grand towers and the vibrant streetscape below, embracing both Hawai‘i’s rich heritage and its modern evolution.
With over 81,000 square feet of dedicated recreational space and more than 7,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial activity, ʻIlima strikes a balance between private luxury and community engagement. It represents the next phase in Ward Village’s transformation, serving as a beacon of thoughtful revitalization.
Designed with a strong emphasis on walkability and green spaces, ʻIlima will enhance Auahi and Queen Streets with lush landscaping and pedestrian-friendly pathways designed by VITA Planning & Landscape Architecture.
